  • The Altitude OX I WP is designed for exploring the city and hiking backcountry areas. It has a leather upper equipped with i-Shield and Dri-Tec technologies. The former is an invisible coating which offers stain-resistance and the latter is an inner membrane which grants weatherproofing.
  • The XLR8 technology is an innovation which uses a midsole 10% lighter than regular EVA. It works with an Ortholite Impressions sockliner to optimize performance and comfort. A Michelin rubber outsole takes care of the boot’s grip.

The Hi-Tec Altitude OX I WP is a relatively true-to-size day hiking boot for men. It is available in regular sizes and standard (D) width. Its closure system permits users to personalize the fit.

This hiking boot wears a Michelin rubber outsole. Its technical profile provides flexibility and adaptability that hikers need on the trails. It has mini chevron lugs which grant multidirectional traction. The rear and front areas are designed stair-like treads to increase its grip on uphill and downhill slopes. Its slight upward protrusion at the toe area yields a decent amount of protection.

Hi-Tec designers incorporated the XLR8 midsole technology into the Altitude OX I WP. This innovation optimizes energy return and shock absorption while keeping its weight to a minimum.

The unit houses a fork shank which offers underfoot flexibility and helps stabilize each ride. Placed atop is the Ortholite Impressions footbed. It conforms to the shape of the foot through its slow recovery foam, thus enhancing trail performance.

Giving this boot its rugged look is a full grain nubuck leather. Its upper is coated with i-Shield, a protective layer which fends off dirt and resists stain. Underneath is the Dri-Tec membrane which maintains a waterproof and breathable in-shoe feel.

Its cushioned collar provides extra comfort on the trails while its gusseted tongue bolsters the boot’s defense against intrusion of loose debris. It employs rustproof lacing hardware for fit management.
